Making Homemade Pasta with Mommy

In celebration of Mother's Day, I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite childhood memories of things that my mom and I did together. I was lucky enough to even be home-schooled by my mom for a couple of years in elementary school, so we did a lot of fun projects together. One of my favorite memories from the home-schooling years was studying Italy and making tortellini together from scratch. No pasta machines are required (although making spaghetti from scratch is just as fun) just a good rolling pin! Making tortellini is a little bit challenging, so if you're working with very young kids, I would recommend making ravioli instead. (I was 9 when my mom and I made tortellini together.)

Thank you to one of our readers for telling us about Neige children's clothes. Designed by Adrienne Catrina, a former designer for Vera Wang and a graduate of the New York Parsons School of Design, the Neige clothing line is infused with modern, under-stated elegance and unique charm.

The Neige clothing line for Spring and Summer includes adorable dresses for girls as well as some very classic and practical outfits for little boys. If only this line included matching outfits for adults!

The best source for the full selection of Neige designs is the Neige website, but you can find some great additional sale items on authorized Neige retailer sites. We did a little fashion hunting and discovered a few stores online with great sales on Neige clothes, like AggieHill.com and CookieandMe.com.

You can definitely see a little bit of Vera Wang influence in Adrienne Catrina's designs, but also a lovely light personality that is totally unique to Neige.

Outdoor Tables for Kids

The air is getting warmer and the days are getting longer - how glad we are that the long heavy winter is over! The kids have been outside enjoying the fresh air for a few weeks now, and as it gets nicer out and closer to the day when school lets out and our little ones are at home all day long, we're thinking more and more about what new outdoor activities we can provide to keep them out of mischief.

That's why we swooned when we found this gorgeous outdoor table and chairs set for kids. You can send your little urchins outside to paint, eat messy watermelon, and have al fresco teddy bear tea parties.
