Multifunctional Baby Gear & Diaper Bags

For many of us parents, an organized day is a good day. If we can make it to most of our appointments, find our way to our kids’ afterschool activities, and manage to remember the essentials for our newborns, the day is a success. While you may not be able to control the traffic you encounter as you’re chauffeuring your children around in the car, you can control the necessities you bring along to keep everyone happy which is why toting around a durable gear bag can be your saving grace.

Sherry Stein of S. Stein Design has developed an interesting concept for her line of bags that are perfect for any on-the-go parent that needs to carry all of the daily essentials required for work or on the road with the kids. As mentioned on her site, Sherry explains how the reliable construction of antique bricklayer, carpenter, and doctor bags has inspired her unique collection for the busy parent. Once she had the concept down, this wonderful designer decided to keep the manufacturing local and was able to find a few American based companies that were delighted to produce the same materials used in times past. Sherry has introduced a custom-made option to her collection, allowing parents to have a say in the construction of their bag. Who better to ask than the parent using it everyday, right?

Modern Easter Decorations

Easter tends to lose a little of its appeal when there aren’t young kids around you. Without children it just doesn’t feel the same when you want to break out a carton of eggs and go to town on the food coloring and stickers! Easter reminds me of when I grew up decorating eggs with my family and running through backyards on an Easter egg hunt.

This past weekend I went to a dinner party for my cousin’s birthday and a family friend was telling me how her and her husband actually spend the time to put out five hundred eggs through their multi-acre backyard. Two little kids and five hundred eggs?! That sounds like a marathon hunt to me.

Since Easter is right around the corner, I thought I’d share some amazing modern designs that are perfect for decorating your house with during this season. These designs certainly set the bar high in terms of style and will give you the inspiration you need for your own DIY projects. Happy Easter!

Children’s Room Murals

Growing up I was a typical girl. I loved planning tea parties with my dolls, making up dances to my favorite music, and of course the color pink. My mom had decorated my room with a beautiful array of pink sponge paint patterns on the walls and I couldn’t have been happier. However, after receiving an email the other day regarding nursery and children’s room murals I wanted to go back in time and have one of these incredible designs for myself! Holly Johnson, the founder of Boston based Cheeky Monkey Murals, shares her wonderful talent by painting murals on the walls of nurseries and children’s rooms. Her online gallery is breathtaking and each one of her pieces adds the artistic touch that will inspire your children’s own imagination!
